First Look at Peacock’s “They/Them” Features Kevin Bacon and the Cast of Conversion Camp Slasher

Last year, Blumhouse announced the feature directorial debut of John Logan (“Penny Dreadful”), featuring Kevin Bacon and is expected to debut on Peacock. The streaming service has officially set the premiere date for They theyand released a first look at the conversion camp slasher.

They they, pronounced “They-slash-Them,” is “a slasher horror film set in an LGBTQIA+ conversion camp starring Bacon as Owen Whistler. Several queer and trans campers join Whistler for a week of programming designed to “help them find a new sense of freedom.”

“As camp methods become increasingly psychologically destabilizing, campers must work together to protect themselves. When a mysterious killer starts claiming victims, things get even more dangerous.

Formerly titled Whistler campthe slasher will debut on Peacock on friday august 5.

They they germinated in me all my life. The cast includes:

    • Kevin Bacon (he/she) plays Owen Whistler, the conversion camp director who runs the Whistler camp alongside several counselors, including his wife, Cora.
    • Anna Chlumsky (she plays Mollythe camp doctor and the new employee.
    • Carrie Preston (she plays Cora Whistlera licensed therapist in charge of the campers’ therapy sessions, and the wife of camp director Owen Whistler.
    • Theo Germaine (they they) rooms Joanda transgender, non-binary camper of religious background who has made a deal with her parents to legally emancipate herself if dating Whistler doesn’t “work out”.
    • Quei Tann (she plays alexandraa transgender woman whose parents threatened to kick her out of the house if she didn’t attend camp.

    • Monique Kim (she plays Speedwella bisexual camper who wants to stop fighting for who she really is.
    • Anna Lore (she plays Kima closeted lesbian camper who puts on a perfectly designed facade for her family and friends, assuming that when she fits in, she will finally be loved.
    • cook cooper (he/she) plays stua sportsman who yearns for a swimming scholarship and to join his father’s fraternity – things he doesn’t think he can achieve if he’s open about being gay.
    • Fabro’s Darwin (he/she) plays Gabriellea sensitive gay camper tired of the persistent name-calling and bullying he’s endured his entire life.

Scott Turner Schofield (Euphoria; The Craft: Legacy), Howie Young (Mission: Impossible III, Hit and Run), and Jon Romano (Firestarter (2022), Revenge) also serve as executive producers. Jason Blum (get out, The invisible Man) and Michael Aguilar (dreadful penny, Joke) are producers.
