With his last film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters this weekend, Elizabeth Olsen arrested by Jimmy Fallon Tonight’s show Wednesday to discuss all things Marvel.
During his conversation with Fallon, Olsen, who reprises her role as Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, in the 2016 sequel strange doctoradmitted that fear of failure keeps him from watching his projects at premieres.
“I just decided that I can’t watch these Marvel movies at a premiere anymore,” Olsen explained. “Every time I watch it and I look around and I’m like, ‘Well, this is our first flop’ – like, every time, I just think, ‘This is our first flop’.”
“I saw ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and I looked around and said, ‘Is this our first flop?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know. I don’t know about this one,'” Olsen said of the 2019 hit film, which grossed nearly $3 billion at the global box office to become the second highest-grossing film of all time.
Fallon made sure to remind Olsen that reviews of the latest installment of strange doctor are extremely positive.
“So it’s not a flop,” Fallon said. “And you get great reviews, by the way. You just jumped; you look gorgeous in that thing.
Opinion aside, Doctor Strange 2 should earn a monster opening at the box office. Deadline reports that the Marvel movie is expected to total an opening weekend of $200 million, which would exceed The Batmandebuted to $172.5 million last month to become the biggest domestic box office opener of the calendar year.
