During the Ultimate Crisis convention, new details were revealed regarding super girlis the last season. Originally, the Arrowverse series was supposed to end with season 7. However, since “the cast got tired, they merged it with the sixth.” Jessica Queller, who was a writer on super girl for the first three seasons and an executive producer for the last three, reportedly pitched a season 7 without Kara to The CW, but the network turned down the idea. No additional details have been revealed regarding season 7 of super girl would have looked like without Melissa Benoist’s Kara Danvers.

super girl premiered on CBS in 2015 but moved to The CW after season 1. The DC series ran for 126 episodes over six seasons, with the series finale released in November 2021. The two-part series finale, titled “Kara”, ended with Kara Danvers becoming CatCo’s new Managing Editor and revealing her identity as Supergirl to the world through an exclusive TV interview with Cat Grant. Benoist played Kara Danvers/Supergirl in all six seasons of super girl as well as several crossover appearances in the flash and other Arrowverse series.

While the series finale concluded the majority of super girlIn plot threads, “Kara” left the door open for certain characters to return in a future Arrowverse appearance. Jon Cryer, who played Lex Luthor in super girl, revealed that he would be interested in returning to the Arrowverse. “Certainly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened,” Cryer said in November 2021. “Everybody made sure to leave the door open for that. quarantine rules made filming episodes a lot more strenuous than they normally would be. So it was all sort of loaded so I would say before they dropped quarantine it was very unlikely that Lex will come back one day, but now that they’ve dropped quarantine, it’s possible.

Chyler Leigh, who played Alex Danvers/Sentinel in super girl and reprized the role in the flashAlex’s “Armageddon” crossover event also featured his Arrowverse return in the form of a spin-off series with Alex’s on-screen wife, Kelly Olsen/Guardian (Azie Tesfai). “I would do it again and I’m still encouraging a Kelly and Alex spin-off. I don’t know, I’m just saying rooting for that… You didn’t see Kelly and Alex go off into the sunset but get on their bikes to go save other people, Esme would love that. I would love to kick that off and have that trend,” Leigh shared. “Honestly, I really would in a heartbeat. I love Alex and everything I’ve been able to build with her and how I’ve grown as a person and the love I have for my family is the love that I was able to embody through her. I would love to put that costume back on.”

There are currently no plans for Supergirl, Lex Luthor, Sentinel, or Guardian to appear in Superman and Loiswhich is currently airing its second season on The CW.
